Board of Directors

There are five members (positions) on the Board of Directors. Directors are elected for two- year staggered terms and hold office until their successors have been duly elected and qualified.

The Board of Directors, or a committee appointed by the Board of Directors, nominates candidates for election as a director at the Annual General Assembly Meeting of Members. Members may nominate candidates for election as a director. The Members elect the directors at the Annual General Assembly Meeting.Each member company present in person or by proxy is entitled to one vote with respect to each director position to be filled.

Chairman of the Board

Mark Schumacher – President, Rosemount Pressure/CPS Business Unit, Emerson Process Management
Mr. Schumacher is President of Rosemount’s Pressure and Complete Point Solutions Business Unit and is responsible for Emerson's pressure transmitter business and technologies. He has more than 33 years experience in the process industry and has held positions in international marketing, engineering development and operations for both Fisher Controls and Rosemount. Mr. Schumacher has served on the HCF Board of Directors since 1997.

Sean Keeping – Vice President Technology, ABB Automation.
Mr. Keeping is Vice President Technology for ABB Process Instrumentation. He has global responsibility for Process Instrumentation technology including, integration and asset management, with main development centers in Germany, India, Italy, UK and USA. He has served on the HCF Board of Directors since 2003.

Dr. Raimund Sommer -
Managing Director, Process Solutions Division, Endress+Hauser
Dr. Sommer leads the Process Solutions technology division of Endress+Hauser. His responsibilities cover all field communication technologies including HART and WirelessHART and the management of their implementation into the E+H product portfolio. Dr. Sommer has a PhD from the Institute for Control Systems at the University of Karlsruhe with focus on non-linear control systems. He joined the HCF Board of Directors in 2013.

David Eisner – Chief Engineer & Senior Engineering Fellow - Honeywell Process Solutions
Mr. Eisner is Chief Engineer for the Honeywell Process Solutions Strategic Business Unit.  Mr. Eisner is responsible for advising the business on key technical directions, providing technical consulting to major customers on new technology adoption and executing the Intellectual Property strategy. He has served on the HCF Board of Directors since 2003.




Siemens

Hans Georg Kumpfmüller – President, Siemens Process Automation.

Mr. Kumpfmüller is President of Process Instrumentation and Analytics for Siemens AG, Karlsruhe, Germany, with responsibility for worldwide business. He has served on the HCF Board of Directors since 1999.



Kimikazu Takahashi - Corporate Fellow, Yokogawa Electric Corporation
Mr. Takahashi is Corporate Fellow for Yokogawa Electric Corporation, Tokyo, Japan. He has responsibility for key technical direction and technology standardization strategy of Industrial Automation. He joined the Board of Directors in 2012.
